Job Description:
Main Resposibilities and Duties :
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers and associated technologies, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning, to ensure optimal performance of ZAINCASH's mobile wallet platform.
- Manage and monitor the virtualization infrastructure using VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi, to ensure high availability and scalability of virtual machines.
- Proactively identify and resolve any performance or security issues related to Linux servers and VMware virtual machines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support new applications and services on Linux servers and VMware virtual machines.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize any potential data loss.
- Implement best practices in Linux administration and virtualization technologies, incorporating them into ZAINCASH's infrastructure as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum [4] years of experience in Linux system administration, including proficiency in CentOS, Red Hat, or similar distributions.
- Extensive experience managing VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and other related protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl is preferred.
- Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift.
